Recognized as a specialty in authentic Sicilian tradition, Martorana Fruit has always been the flagship of Etnadolce. Born in Palermo at the Church of Eloisa Martorana from which it inherits the name, in the 18th century at the sight of Charles V, the nuns of the convent thought to adorn the bare trees in the garden with fruits made of sugar, almonds and herbs decorating with brushes and dyes water to give the extraordinary nuances of color found in nature. Despite the passing of centuries, Etnadolce still makes sure that the Martorana fruit, or also known as Gingerbread, is carefully handcrafted during every phase of its production with ancient wisdom handing down the old tradition to the new generations.
